Learn Spanish and Arabic Culture in Granada

During the guided visits related to Arabic culture and legacy in Granada participants do not need any public transport to get to the monuments and the places they are going to visit. All sightseeing places are in walking distance to the school and the city center.

Our school also adopt environmentally friendly actions such as office recycling, purchasing FCS or recycled office supplies whenever possible.

People

In the afternoons participants will visit the Alhambra, the old Arabic quarter Albaicín and the Arabic bath. These visits are complemented with workshops about calligarphy and cooking. These workshops take place in collaboration with local teachers who had maintained their Arabic traditions.

For example: Spanish cuisine owes a large part of its typical dishes to the Arabs. You want to learn about the Arabic legacy still prevailing in the succulent gastronomy of this beautiful Eastern Andalusian region? What better way to bring to you the Arabic tastes of Andalusia than to take you directly into a kitchen. Although many cultural achievements from that period were forgotten when the Christians reconquered Spain, the art of cooking and baking has remained.

We offer this programme in collaboration with a local guides and teachers. Some of them are originally from Morocco or other Arabic countries. The incomings of the workshops are entirely forwarded to them in order to support our community.
