This tour is a combination of historic and cultural visits in few cities of Southern and Central Albania, with nature escapes.

Cars would be used only for intercity commute with the rest organised based on walking, trekking. As usual the guests and our guides are equipped with trash bags in order not to leave any non biodegradable stuff behind and also collecting few plastic that might be found in the path.

It is beyond any doubt that we use guesthouses for accommodation and meals in the remote villages, that produce almost everything locally, but apply this even for cities and small towns. Always we would partner with small hotels - family businesses - that are connected to small farmers, instead of easy supermarkets.

In this tour we try to reduce at maximum the car transport. It will be used only for the long distance moves from one are to another.
Criteria for partnering with local partners would again be the usage of local products.

We would share always with the guesthouses in the country side any kind of info regarding different programs and grants, that are purposely dealing with protection and/or improvement of the environment of their surrounding areas.

People

Some part of the tour will be happening around Vjosa River area which is believed to be the last wild big river in Europe. We are supporting the protest of the people of this area, and joining forces with the international protesters as to protect this river from dam projects.

Beside effort to defend the tourism space for the communities of this area, it is about protecting the wild life, with some endemic species.

We use young local guides for these tours. We have introduced the concept of the open house with the locals, where the group of guests can stop by, have a raki shot, a turkish coffee, chat with the owners and even admire their traditional dresses.

We would often visit the local partners during the off season period, to exchange ideas and know-how gathered with the guests at different areas than theirs, in order to enable them to better serve and focus on specific issues that are of interest for people from different backgrounds. During the season period we would always send them upfront info regarding the coming visitors.
