The scenery and spirituality of Bhutan is unique and a once in a lifetime experience for my family.
Tips?
Even in late spring weather was unpredictable. I would be trekking with shorts and a tee shirt in the morning, long pants and fleece in afternoon and wishing for ski gear in the evening before going to bed.

The most memorable was 50 miles offshore Scuba Diving in the Garden of the Queens...this is a healthy reef with sharks to nudibranchs. I really hope so. The lodge is wonderful and is quite understated in what they do but they have taken a good eco stance and are an employer/supporter of the local population. The experience of cycling through rural India, meeting and reacting with the local people. Even a local police sergeant bought us all breakfast when we met him one morning.

A reasonable standard of fitness is required. We were a group of 9 men with ages ranging from 54yrs to 67yrs. Take a good pair of padded cycle shorts.

We took horse riding lessons nearby. I am a wheelchair user, but the instructor/owner got me on the horse and was very encouraging and helpful teaching me beginners dressage. He really cares for his horses. We also went rowing in a nearby lake. It's a great outdoors/ activity area. Hotel owners Fiona and Gareth give 100 percent
