Planet
We support wildlife in our community by donating 1% of each booking to Blue World - researching dolphin organization. We have more than 400 dolphins in the area around the island of Vis, and the Blue World organization tracks them every day. It's almost impossible to spend a day at sea without seeing dolphins, especially in springtime when the sea traffic is quieter than in summer. It's quite an experience to see wild dolphins swim around you, and we are aware of how much they mean for marine life.We also plant our own vegetables in a completely "eco" way. Our vegetables don't contain a single drop of pesticide, just water and sun. In our vineyards it is the same situation, and the eco brand on every bottle is the evidence of hard work. Our guests are welcome to join in with watering and harvesting the grapes and vegetables every year, allowing them to see how we prepare this crop.
We organize cleaning of the beaches and underwater areas in our community. Since we are located on the open sea, we have strong winter winds which bring us all sorts of garbage. Every spring, volunteers are more than welcome to help us keep our beaches and underwater clean. Every year, with the support of the town of Vis, we collect more than 500 kilos of garbage from 5 different beaches in the Rukavac area. In this way, we help our island to stay clean on the land and underwater. Island Vis is one of the cleanest islands in the middle Mediterranean area.

Local taverns are the best way to get familiar with our way of preparing meals. With recommendations for our guests, we organize wine and local meal-tasting tours where you can see and try some of the oldest meals in Croatia.Traveling around the world is a meaning of life and promoting our community, Island Vis and Croatia is a big and very important thing. Ensuring the right promotion and learning how other tourist businesses work on different continents make us competent in our business.
Besides keeping the island clean, we support "SVIMA" organization. In this community, kids from all over Croatia can learn about island history, old trades, and how to preserve an ecologic on the island, they organize all sorts of workshops around the island and we provide them free transportation on land or sea.
For us, working with kids is always special, especially when our mission is to return young people to the island, and to provide them any sort of decent living in this part of paradise!
