As we are an eco-friendly tour operator, we try to minimize any negative impacts on the environment. Since overnight accommodation is included within the price, it is of high importance that their attitude towards the environment is equal. That is why many hotels of this tour are eco-friendly as well, such as Hotel El Rey del Caribe (Cancun). They are eco-friendly, because they have a solid waste management, automatic air conditioning shutdown, LED lighting, etcetera. Another example is Chicanna Ecovillage, where three nights will be spend.
Our guides provide a good briefing on environmental topics including how we can help the planet and how we can help with water issues. Action is taken immediately, since we provide an 1 liter plastic reusable bottle and this way saving tons of one use plastic bottles. We take in our vans usually 20 liters water in a reusable container, so people can refill the plastic bottle that we provided.

The Yucatan Archaology & History is a tour that is characterized by visiting many archaeological sites, buildings, and ruins. Many local communities are involved, in order to preserve all these places. One of these communities we have contact with, is the community of Sian Ka’an. By giving them a fee (included), we are supporting their community ánd able to visit the beautiful ruins of Muyil!
Next to the sites and ruins, we have contact with several hotels/lodges to make sure that you have an unforgettable experience, while helping the local community! After visiting the site of Uxmal, you will be sleeping in the Uxmal Resort Maya. Just as the name says, the resort is all about the Maya. They are helping the local economy, by only making regional and Mexican dishes. Another hotel that does the same is Hotel Villas Arqueologicas Chichen Itza. There are even Maya ruins in their garden! All our guides are local as well, and they are educated to give you the best experience, while minimalizing the negative effects on the community.
