Northern Argentina luxury vacation

A luxury vacation in Argentina doesn’t have to mean sitting by the pool. This three week tailor made trip shows you the best of the northern regions of the country – from its winelands to its waterfalls. This trip’s slow travel ethos means you can get deeper into the country, using community-focused guides to get the most out of – and give the most back – to the remote places you’ll visit.

“Although this was a town with a main street and a railway station, and people with dogs and electric lights it was near enough to the end of the eart...

Responsible Travel
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) vacation so that you can travel knowing it will help support the places and people that you visit, and the planet. Read how below.
Planet
With environmentally-friendly tourism at the forefront of our itinerary planning, this is a trip that perfectly encapsulates the cohesion of sustainability, luxury and adventure in Argentina. From handpicked ethically-run accommodation, to a focus on lesser-visited natural wonders in need of protection. For example by staying in eco wildlife lodges in the Ibera Wetlands and Yaboti Biosphere Reserve (for the Macona Falls) before we reach world-famous Iguazu, your trip will help support conservation efforts in these often overlooked but beautiful habitats. Marsh deer, giant anteaters, jaguars, pumas, maned wolves and giant otters are amongst the species protected in these areas.
You will also take just two domestic flights across a mammoth 24 day itinerary, causing far fewer emissions than a more traditional 'highlights' package trying to link all the famous sights of Argentina (plus often Chile and Brazil) in one flight-heavy carbon-emitting package. These flights both cover distances that would otherwise take at least two days of driving and a distance of over 1000km each.
People
Our slow travel itinerary is designed so you can spend more time in each area, spreading the financial benefits of tourism wider and deeper into communities less visited than on a classic highlights or 'bucket list' package. You will meet yerba mate and tea producers off-the-beaten-path in Misiones, stay in small isolated tourist hotels on the wild Puna, and be able to shop for authentic souvenirs in far-flung towns and indigenous markets across Salta and Jujy provinces. The money that small scale, responsible tourism brings to these communities is particularly crucial after the lockdowns of 2020 and 2021 completely cut off this important source of income.
All of this is done with our community-focussed, highly-trained, well paid guides helping you tread the right path, In fact our local partners are one of the most ethically-focussed ground agents currently operating in Argentina, which is the primary reason we picked them from the hundreds out there.
