Carbon reductionVegetarian and vegan food is available on most of days. India is heaven for vegetarians and there are lot of dishes to offer. For Vegan’s, they can easily avoid milk products in breakfast by eating locally made breads such as parathas, chole baturra, iddli, sambar, Dosa and for lunch and dinners they can enjoy a lot of vegetarian dishes to offer. Most of the food is locally sourced and seasonal.
The Neemrana Fort Palace only use glass bottles in the guest rooms. Thereby fully recyclable and made from natural materials, making it more eco-friendly. Apart from that there is a STP plant installed at the hotel for the wastewater. Further, the water is used for farming/gardening purposes.
In the Tigress Resort, the resort is surround by 40% of natural landscapes, and they actively contribute to restoring and preserving biodiversity by:
Maintaining green spaces with native plant species, providing water sources and safe habitats for local wildlife, including birds and pollinators. Educating guests on responsible tourism and wildlife conservation. In the Trident Agra, the resort have an organic waste convertor which converts waste into manure. Treated sewage water is used for gardening around the resort.
Environment and wildlife
Our trip visit Wildlife SOS which is an elephant rescue camp. The clients visit and contribute with donation to Wildlife SOS, which is a popular elephant rescue camp providing shelter and care to elephants who have been harassed due to tourism and temple activities.
Apna Ghar (Bharatpur) – Provide homes to homeless, destitute, oppressed, helpless, abandoned, mentally and physically sick, injured, infected, old aged and dying condition persons.
We make sure clients bring the own water bottle on the trip and during the trip we keep a big 25 Ltr. mineral water jar in the vehicle with a tap on it. Clients are then able to refill their bottles throughout the day. By this we avoid the use of single use plastics on the trip.
The hotels include the entry fee to national parks, at Ranthambore National Park which is appx GBP 50 per person per safari.
People
Local economyMost of the accommodation is owned locally but they have hotels at different locations as well. We employee local guides at most of the sightseeing places of the trip. The clients visit the cooperative emporium at Jaipur which supports appx 100 families from the villages around Jaipur city. Clients occasionally visit a random good local village during their long drives.
Employment, inclusivity and diversity
Almost 100% people employed to run this trip are from India and where the local guides for city sightseeing’s and nature guides are concerned we employ them from local community. All staff receive the minimum wages to within the destination. We do not specifically employ people from very poor and excluded community but our leaders make sure during the trip clients buy some souvenirs from local hawkers and pedlars who are generally very poor.
