As a proud member of Partners of Conservation, we are honored to have been acknowledged for our dedicated efforts towards Biodiversity Conservation in Bhutan. Working alongside the Department of Forests and Park Services, we have tirelessly strived to protect wildlife and mitigate the struggles of rural communities by offering our membership fees and supporting Home Stay Tours. Through our initiative, farmers have been able to earn additional income by providing a homestay experience to visitors, thereby offsetting losses caused by wildlife damage to their crops and property. Bhutan's incredible natural heritage is precious and we remain committed to conserving it for future generations to come.We take pride in our walking tours, which not only provide a great experience for our visitors, but also have a positive impact on the environment. Our hikes take place within the Jigme Dorji National Park, one of the largest protected areas in Bhutan. As part of our commitment to conservation, a portion of the park fees collected from each hiker is allocated to the Nature Recreation and Eco-tourism Division of the Department of Forestry. These funds help to support various initiatives that promote the preservation of the park's ecosystem and the development of sustainable livelihoods in the surrounding areas.
We kindly ask for our guests' cooperation in understanding that the same vehicle utilized for transfer points will also be responsible for the transportation of food and equipment. This decision was made in order to lessen gas usage and vehicle emissions, as opposed to requiring a separate car for food and equipment transportation. We appreciate the support we receive from every guest; in our efforts towards environmental responsibility.

The Trans Bhutan Trails, a newly opened initiative by the government, aims to share the country's natural beauty with the rest of the world. This involves clearing and maintaining roads and trails and designating farm home stays along the way. With proper education provided to farm families, we hope to boost tourism and benefit our rural communities. We plan to introduce tours that cover sections of the ancient Trans Bhutan Trails, allowing our guests to experience the wonders of the natural world. By doing so, we bring much-needed income to our rural families, creating opportunities for healthy development and progress.
Becoming a member of the Trans Bhutan project means that we can contribute to the development and upkeep of these trails through membership fees. Join us as we encourage the Trans Bhutan Trails and work towards creating a better future for our rural communities.
Our community-driven walking and hiking tours focus on providing a unique and authentic experience to travelers while also benefiting the local rural community. By offering a home stay tour package through our trans Bhutan Walking Vacations we provide a sustainable source of income for farmers, encouraging them to stay and thrive in their hometowns instead of migrating to urban areas. Through this, we strive to reduce dependence on forest products and offset losses due to wildlife damage.
We have dedicated resources towards renovating and extending farm families in Phobjikha, ensuring that they are eco-friendly and ready to host tourists. Every service provided at the home stay is paid for, ensuring that tourism revenue is distributed equitably between urban and rural areas. We believe in the power of community-led initiatives and are proud to have helped bring tourism and sustainable income to our local farm families.
As a native of Toebisa village in Punakha district, I take immense pride in showcasing the beauty and diversity of our land to visitors. The starting point of the transBhutan trail at Dochula pass is a gateway to an incredible journey, taking hikers through enchanting forest paths, vibrant paddy fields, and peaceful hamlets like my ancestral village nestled below the divine madman heritage trail.
As an experienced hiking tour operator, I have the privilege of directly contributing to the development of my village and surrounding areas. Our scattered community of 320 households thrives along the transBhutan trail, and we cherish the opportunities it brings to share our culture and way of life with others. I make sure that we do not waste any packed lunches and instead share extra packages with the local cow herders we meet along the way. It warms our hearts to see the eagerness and excitement of those who await our arrival.
Our guests are delighted to join us in this journey of camaraderie and adventure. What makes it even more special is the immense satisfaction that comes from contributing to our community's maintenance funds. We all work together to clear the bushes, remove fallen logs, and create shady resting spots for hikers at our lunch spot. Seeing everyone's smiles and contentment makes our hearts overflow with happiness.
The transBhutan trail is a wonderful blessing, connecting us to new experiences, new friends, and new opportunities. With every hike, we cherish our bond with the land, the community, and each other, creating lasting memories that will stay with us forever.
