CARBON REDUCTIONOur commitment to offering vacations with a positive impact is exemplified through our innovative approach and our ground breaking carbon scoring system, a world-first initiative enabling us to meticulously evaluate the environmental footprint of each tailor-made trip. Actively engaging with our suppliers, we encourage their participation in our carbon-scoring survey to identify areas for sustainability excellence and improvement.
Transparency is paramount, and we extend it to our customers by individually assessing each trip, providing a personalised carbon score which empowers you to make informed choices.
Our dedication to sustainability goes beyond scoring systems, influencing every aspect of your travel experience. Expect immersion into the natural habitats of Parque Patagonia at La Posta de los Toldos. The program of explorations at the lodge includes many done by foot, reducing their carbon emissions. In Argentina, our local partners are continually focussed on contributing to the country's social and financial well-being.
Food at both lodges is locally sourced and they can cater for vegetarians and vegans. Araras Eco Lodge use dairy and meat products from their farm and vegetables from their organic garden. In urban areas such as Buenos Aires, our in-country partners can recommend restaurant options.
ENVIRONMENT AND WILDLIFE
Travel in the vast flooded plans of the Pantanal is an epic journey. Araras Eco Lodge has the ethos ‘Nothing is taken, except for photos. Nothing is left, except for footprints. Nothing is kept, except for memories’ which exemplifies their commitment to the pristine environment where they operate.
In Argentina, the journey to remote Patagonia is designed to offer an in-depth, off the beaten track discovery and immersion. La Posta de los Toldos lodge takes the preservation of the natural environment seriously and have a team dedicated to Rewilding Argentina.
Ahead of your departure, we ensure you are well-prepared through our pre-travel online 'travel pack.' This comprehensive, paper-free resource acts as your guide, providing essential details and valuable insights for the upcoming adventure. Practical guidelines on mindful packing are included to minimise luggage and reduce overall weight, contributing to lower fuel consumption.

LOCAL ECONOMYOur commitment is to offer travel experiences that our customers enjoy and actively contribute to the well-being of the regions they explore.
Araras Eco Lodge in the Pantanal employs local labour with around 85% of staff from the nearby city of Poconé. These locals are happy to share the beauty of their region, local music and traditions with guests. In Argentina, our partners and chosen lodge in Patagonia prioritise guides from each specific region to keep money within that area. Beyond showcasing the destinations' beauty, these knowledgeable local guides provide a window into the culture and lifestyle.
EMPLOYMENT, INCLUSIVITY AND DIVERSITY
The accommodation options on this trip all encourage and actively employ locals such as Araras in the Pantanal with most of the staff from Poconé. Inherent to their operation is training for staff on sustainability and protection of the natural environment and wildlife. There is no better experience than connecting with locals who can share their way of life, culture and experiences.
