We use local restaurants and offer prepared meals such as picnic lunches with organic produce directly purchased from communities we collaborate with. We aim to assist them in earning additional income from their farms while delivering the finest produce to our clients.
EMPLOYMENT, INCLUSIVITY AND DIVERSITY
Our partners take pride in collaborating with local the communities of Huilloq, Camicancha, Socma, and Lamay in the Sacred Valley near Cusco. Committed to transformational travel, they seek innovative ways to ensure these communities not only profit fairly from visitors but also empower them to work sustainably. Most food products are sourced from these communities, integrating them into the supply chain.
The accommodation on this trip, are all Peruvian-owned chains. These establishments actively employ locals, many of whom have studied tourism at the local UNSAAC university in Cusco university. In the Amazon, Tambopata Research Centre is part of Rainforest Expeditions who have met and connected with local and community producers to integrate them into this value chain. The lodge also utilises solar energy and segregates and recycles the waste. Single use plastic is prohibited.
