1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
Although the weather wasnt ideal, the hospitality we received was truly outstanding. I was also grateful to enjoy two local hikes along the well-marked village trails, making my visit memorable despite the less-than-perfect weather conditions.
2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
The hosts are exceptionally accommodating and go out of their way to adjust plans according to the weather, ensuring guests have the best possible experience.
3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes - Local farmers supply fresh fruits and vegetables, Their contributions make a difference and helped me enjoy wholesome, quality ingredients.
4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
Although the trip felt too short, I truly appreciated every moment. To fully experience the breathtaking landscapes, at least five or six days are needed. Not a weekend. Im especially grateful to Tim and Chloe for taking such great care of me, and my local guides extensive knowledge made the journey even more memorable.

Climbing to the top of the Cypriot mountains! The fresh air, beautiful views and sense of adventure.

This vacation is very customisable and you can edit the number of days and distances you want to do - dont hesitate to ask.
3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Food was either home grown or purchase locally. Almost all of our spending went to locals.
4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
Fantastic. Tim looked after us very well, food was delicious and our guide Theodosia was excellent. We had a lovely time and loved being in a wonderful and less travelled part of Cyprus.
Responsible Travel
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) vacation so that you can travel knowing we've worked to maximise the benefits of your vacation to local people and places, and minimise any negative impacts.
Planet
The conservation and protection of the environment come primarily from raising personnel and guest awareness and consciousness towards a sustainable future. It furthermore encourages always having a positive attitude towards this goal without compromising the protection of personnel at all levels of the organisation and the enjoyment of a quality experience for our guests. These actions are a clear indication of our commitment to continuous improvement and pollution prevention. We are based in a national park and as such every resident and visitor is a caretaker of our beautiful and natural environment. We leave no litter, and we take out anything left behind by those less vigilant visitors
The village draws water from a local spring. This provides water for both the residents and agriculture.
In the last couple of years, there has been a shift towards renewable energy. Cyprus has both Wind turbines and solar farms. On a micro-level roof top solar water heating and photovoltaic systems are in place..
Making a difference
When we are on an excursions we leave no trash behind. We even take trash that was there when we arrived on site.
We embrace the new European Bauhaus policy and actively follow core foundation stones to address this important policy
1. Stewardship of the landscape using a regenerative agriculture approach.
2. Encouraging local cultural heritage, traditions, and elements of life and the environment that are unique to the particular rural area being addressed with an active contribution from the local authority encouraging the documentation and passing on of skills that are being lost sometimes skipping generations completely.
3. Adopting a Greening policy that benefits both Fauna and Flora and works towards combating the harmful results of global warming whilst encouraging sustainable agrotourism and ecotourism
4. Promoting agriculture and waste management that does not result in macro plastic waste being abandoned alongside agricultural fields and focuses on chemical-free pesticides and organic fertilizing.
People
Providing local benefits from tourism, especially to the local community. Agioi Vavatsinias is just off the tourist route and our goal is to incorporate the village on the tourist route through Eco and Agro tourism and provide extra work for the local community. Most importantly we work with displaced migrants during the year from Africa, Middle East and Europe (War Zones), whilst actively taking part in the renewal of our village, utilising renewable resources wherever possible. We undertake a number if voluntary community workshops each year donating our time to educate both children and adults the importance of adopting the principles laid out in the new European Bauhaus policy,
Our goal is to create a national heritage site in the village and use this as a training platform for both local youth and young people who have been through traumatic life experiences to learn traditional Cypriot trades and crafts both as experiential therapy and a way to generate income.
Finally we share with all users of the local area the affect of Global warming and the dangers of micro plastic leeching into the water system,
