ENVIRONMENT & WILDLIFE:
This itinerary offers the opportunity to see some of Africa’s most treasured wildlife, including at Chobe National Park, where you can find one of the largest concentrations of elephants on the continent. The game drives and safaris on this trip also allow chances to spot lion, buffalo, hippo and an array of birdlife.
In the Okavango Delta, you have access to huge private concessions, giving you a more exclusive safari experience which also offers guided walks and traditional mokoro canoe outings.

LOCAL ECONOMY:
During your trip, you will have the opportunity to explore the area and positively contribute to the local economy; explore Victoria Falls, the Chobe national park and surrounding area shops, which are locally-run or family owned. You can visit the Khwai village for another element of cultural insight, and take a guided walk with resident safari experts.

EMPLOYMENT, INCLUSIVITY & DIVERSITY:
The lodges in this trip each offer employment opportunities to their local communities. Bayete Guest Lodge operates two restaurants, the Caldecott Dining Boma and the Ingwezi Tavern, which employs people within the hospitality sector.
The Old House Kasane accommodation is family-owned and operated and supports local community through employment and partnerships. It is a small-scale operation with only 10 rooms, and an emphasis on local sourcing.
The guests at Khwai Guest House are directly supporting and contributing to conservation and community-based tourism in Botswana through the partnership with the Khwai Development Trust.
At Oddballs’ camp, local people are supported and encouraged to become guides, with each guest being paired with their own ‘man of the swamp’ for walking safaris and traditional mokoro canoe excursions.
