Planet
Transport & Carbon Footprint Reduction: We are deeply committed to minimizing the carbon footprint of our tours. For the long-distance transfer between Kunming and Dali, we deliberately choose high-speed bullet trains over private vehicles. This decision alone significantly reduces carbon emissions compared to a standard road trip. Furthermore, within sensitive ecological zones such as the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and Potatso National Park, we strictly adhere to regulations by using the park's eco-friendly electric shuttle buses rather than private cars to reduce exhaust pollution.Nature Conservation & Low-Impact Activities: Our itinerary is designed to encourage low-impact exploration. In the Dali Erhai Ecological Corridor, we arrange cycling tours instead of motorized transport, allowing guests to enjoy the scenery while minimizing noise and air pollution. At Tiger Leaping Gorge and Potatso, we focus on hiking on designated boardwalks to prevent soil erosion and protect delicate plant life.
Waste Management & Wildlife Protection: We operate a strict "Leave No Trace" policy across all destinations. We actively encourage guests to bring reusable water bottles to avoid single-use plastics. Our local guides are trained to educate travelers on local ecology and ensure that all litter—especially in high-altitude hiking areas—is packed out. We also strictly prohibit the feeding of wildlife (such as squirrels in Potatso) to maintain the natural balance of these protected ecosystems.
People
Supporting Local Economy: We believe tourism should directly benefit the host communities. In Zhoucheng Village, we visit family-run workshops rather than factories to experience authentic Tie-dye art. The fees for these hands-on workshops go directly to local artisans, helping to sustain this intangible cultural heritage.Community Support & Philanthropy: We are committed to caring for the most vulnerable members of the society we visit. In Dali, we partner with the Dali Social Welfare Institute, an orphanage dedicated to raising and educating local orphans. We pledge to donate approximately 1% of the revenue from this itinerary to support the institute's daily operations and the children's well-being.
Cultural Respect & Preservation: Our itinerary focuses on deep engagement with minority cultures, including Yi, Bai, Naxi, and Tibetan traditions. We provide guests with detailed guidelines on cultural etiquette to ensure respectful interactions.
Local Employment: We exclusively employ local drivers and guides who are natives of Yunnan. This ensures that fair wages stay within the local province, supporting the livelihoods of residents in rural areas.
