Where can I see puffins in the UK?
You can see puffins amongst the cliffs and rocky isles of the Channel Islands, Yorkshire, Northumberland, Scotland and Rathlin Island in Northern Ireland.
What month is best to see puffins?
Puffins usually arrive in April and depart in August, although each colony follows its own slightly different calendar. The best months to see puffins are usually June and July, when they’re busy feeding chicks and so at their most visible. That said, it depends on what you’d like to see. Early in the season is great for seeing puffins reuniting with their lifelong mates or sprucing up their burrows. Later in the season, you might see pufflings take their first and sudden dive straight into the sea.
