The opportunity to be in such close proximity to a large range of wild animals in their natural habitat.
Tips?
It's not always easy to access a bank so when you get the chance, get plenty of the local currency. ATMs are not always reliable. We were advised never to put
a card into an ATM in Zimbabwe = high risk of being swallowed up. Better to take plenty of dollars or other accepted currency. Avoid salads, drinks with ice, tap water - even for rinsing your toothbrush.... (more)Joy Davies

Memorable parts?
The flight between Camp Savuti and Oddballs Camp. The pilot flew very low so we were able to see the animals very well from above. Also, taking a shower
and being visited by an elephant.
Tips?
Pack light and be prepared for cool temperatures in the morning.
Local benefits?
All staff members in the camps were locals, even the managers. That gave the trip a good flavour. In general, the tourism in Botswana is based on
sustainability.

Riding in a makorra, a flat bottomed punt like boat. through the reeds of the Delta, was one of the most beautiful and peaceful places in the world. Also wild

The amazing wildlife in the Okavango Delta
Tips?
Do it! If you are visiting both Chobe and Okavango Delta then I would suggest going to Chobe first as Okavango Delta is so much better in my opinion.
If you are traveling from Kasane to Victoria Falls consider flying as the wait at the border is a long stand in the hot sun (2 hours for us).
If considering staying on Chobe Princess check to reviews to see if quality of accommodation lives up to advertising.
