Our small group wildlife & nature vacations

Why go on a small group wildlife & nature vacation

No one tells you how moving seeing animals in the wild can be – or what an amazing experience it can be sharing it with new-found friends. Going in a small group can keep costs down as you’re sharing the expense of a driver and leader, and having a group can give you a bit more reassurance in more remote destinations. At the heart of all our small group wildlife tours are great guides – they are the key members of the group, leading you all to the best wildlife-spotting spots, the most beautiful, secluded nature, and helping peel back the layers – or peer through the foliage – in a destination to show you its secret heart.

Where to go on a small group wildlife & nature vacation

Our small group wildlife trips are great for destinations that might be harder to reach solo, either because they are expensive, or tricky and time consuming to navigate without help. Our small group wildlife vacations to Madagascar are a great way to see the land of lemurs with the assistance of a great guide and dedicated transport. Our small group trips to Botswana can keep costs down with participatory camping and the use of an overland vehicle. Diverse destinations like India and Costa Rica are places where you can benefit from a few extra pairs of eyes in the group to help spot those elusive forest birds.

Joining a small group safari

Join the pack on our small group safaris, share stories around the campfire and pinch great pictures of that one person who brought lots of different lenses along. At their most epic, our small group safaris might involve overland adventures by van, seeing several countries and multiple national parks over a few weeks, or they might take you to the best private reserves in great safari destinations in South Africa, Tanzania, Kenya, Zimbabwe and Zambia. Going in a small group can be a great way to keep costs down, all whilst giving you once in a lifetime wildlife encounters.

Too many to single out, but the rhino tracking on foot at Matobo, plus night time elephant visits to our campsite waterholes at Hwange and Elephant Sands were highlights for me. A great vacation lead by two excellent tour leaders (Wayne and Tabani). The itinerary was quite varied with each place having it's own unique charm. I would happily recommend this trip.read more

Can I give more than 5 stars? It was phenomenal! The only thing I would have changed is to stay longer. There were so many memorable parts of my visit to Uganda! It was packed with exciting and enriching experiences. The close encounters - dare I say, connection -with the mountain gorillas and chimpanzees, as well as the deeply personal and moving visit to the Batwa community were among the most impactful. I was also thrilled and delighted by the golden monkeys. The itinerary was thoughtfully assembled...read more
