Responsible Travel
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) vacation so that you can travel knowing we've worked to maximise the benefits of your vacation to local people and places, and minimise any negative impacts.
Planet
This trip includes two of the most stunning natural parks in the region: Los Glaciares National Park in Argentina and Torres del Paine National Park in Chile. The entrance fee contributes to the maintenance and conservation of such important ecosystems. The philosophy of the parks is “Leave no trace”. Local rangers will advise travelers as to how to minimise their impact on the environment. Some key guidelines include keeping to marked trails, not disturbing the natural resources and taking back all the rubbish.Travelers will be briefed as to how to hike responsibly and respectfully. We have developed some handy guidance to help respect the outdoors. Useful tips on how to travel responsibly, as well as information on local flora and fauna can also be found in the road book we provide to our travelers.
This is a tailor-made, independent trip; groups are very small, normally comprised of 2 to 4 people, helping to minimise the negative environmental and social impact.
People
We support local employment and communities in our choice of accommodation, tours, restaurants, etc. We want local populations to benefit from the resources generated by tourism, by putting as much as possible back into the local communities. We always take into consideration the feedback we receive from the local population to try to improve the quality of services in the best way possible. This trip is no different from others we provide, in that it encourages real interaction between people while respecting the culture, history and customs of each individual community. All travelers are provided with detailed guidelines as to how to travel responsibly. We provide our travelers with a road book with useful information on local culture and customs.
We donate 3% of the total price of this trip to co-fund micro-projects implemented by local schools, associations and ONGs. These are community projects based on education and conservation activities, especially addressed to young people.
