1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

The breadth of experience - a mix of relaxation/ space to wander and experienced tour guides for valuable cultural and country insights. From the temple of Poseidon and the Acropolis to the national garden and restaurants with brilliant views we saw it all.

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

The weather is unpredictable in April - we suffered a rare cold front for the first two days so pack for every eventuality!

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Not applicable

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

Anthi made it special and it felt like a close family friend was looking out for us abroad. I have never been so stress free when traveling as she arranged everything all I needed to know was what time to be ready for pick up at reception! Even that she was sure to send a text about the night before! Simply amazing and genuine care and we can’t recommend her highly enough

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

We stayed in Kalamata and Athens (not Paros Island). We loved the river rafting and polymnio gorge. Also Athens was wonderful. It was very good to have a
guide at Acropolis. But also good to have a lot free time in athens because we had different interests and some could go shopping, some could go to a museum
and others could go and watch cars. Anthi from the tour operator kept in touch all the time to see that our program was workig out, our driver was very friendly
and flexible and we could adjust the program, where to eat and so during the day. All guides at different activities were very friendly , flexible and helpful

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

It is good to do research on what you like to do. Don't plan more than one acitivity each day but do have guide if possible!

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

All guides were local and knew a lot about what they were talking about. Some had been away and seemed to have returned to the "roots" and for their love
and respect for the nature, local shops or the history And they wanted to share this with us!

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

An excellent combination of learning history and greek mythology, physical activity with adventure in nature and shopping/citylife.

CARBON REDUCTION

Human-Powered Exploration:
The tour includes ..... days of human-powered transport. Visitors will explore the Neda Gorge in the region of Messinia through easy hikes, the beach of Kalamata by a sea kayak and the Lousios and the Alfeios Rivers by a rafting experience.

Vegetarian and Vegan Options:
During the whole tour our guests have the choice to taste vegetarian and vegan food options from the rich Greek cuisine that is full of such healthy dishes.

Local and Seasonal Food:
All suggested restaurants during the tour are specialized in seasonal and locally sourced food, cooking their recipes from raw materials from the local production of livestock breeders and farmers.
We also mostly work with local accommodations, whose owners have plans and policies on reducing or switching to certified palm oil, soy, and forestry products.

ENVIRONMENT AND WILDLIFE

Eco-Friendly Accommodations:
We ensure that almost all accommodations on this tour adhere to strict environmental policies, including water conservation through rainwater harvesting and waste management.

Invasive Species Education:
We email our guests, while arriving in Athens, educational material on the threats posed by invasive species in Greece and how they can help mitigate these threats during their visit. Some species, such as the Harehead, are toxic and consumption can even lead to death, while others, such as the Lionfish, are poisonous and contact with humans can be very painful or even fatal.

LOCAL ECONOMY

Locally-Owned Accommodations:
Our philosophy is to help local communities. We work in this direction,by choosing accommodation which are run by local owners who are inhabitants of all areas we visit. Especially in this tour, because of its character, all small hotels and restaurants we suggest are run by local inhabitants. Some of them have renovated their own ancestral homes and have turned them into small hotels. We don't use international chains, because all visitors who would choose such a tour, loving the physical environment, want to stay in small villages, close to nature and meet simple people who work their land and produce their agricultural products.

Local Economic Opportunities:
We prioritize local economic growth by employing guides native to each region we visit. Our guides in all nature experiences we offer, rafting, hiking and sea kayaking included, are experts in the area's unique geology and biodiversity.
Additionally, the tour includes a visit to the famous municipal market of Kalamata, where we suggest visitors to taste and buy local cheese products, cured meats, olives, honey, olive oil and wine and a visit to the rich handmade crafts shopping center of Nafplio, where our guests are suggested to buy handmade crafts from the shop of Maria Gonidou, who designs unique collections of scarves and ties made with traditional techniques.

EMPLOYMENT, INCLUSIVITY AND DIVERSITY

Local Employment:
Almost all our partners are locals and are paid at least the minimum wage in Greece.

Diversity Strategy:
We maintain a diverse workforce and are committed to providing equal employment opportunities regardless of race, gender, or sexual orientation.
