You will be riding through wolf country so wildlife is abundant all the way along with, amongst others: chamois, wild boar, mouflon, deer, foxes, eagles, vultures and of course wolves. We are committed to preserving local wildlife and footpaths and choose our routes to ensure least disturbance along the way and avoid erosion.

We avoid riding the most popular mountain biking trails to avoid excessive erosion and choose less known routes off the beaten track.

We use re-usable containers for picnic lunches to avoid single use plastic waste and pick up any litter we come across on our route to help conserve the natural environment and stop litter pollution.

Both of the accommodations we use on this trip are committed to the environment and use re-usable resources wherever possible.

We work with Mossy Earth and plant a tree on your behalf in a European forest to neutralise your carbon footprint from this trip.

We are a paper free office.

People

We use local guides rather than imported ones and favour independent locally run accommodations rather than big chains to ensure your money goes straight back into the local community.

We also choose local suppliers who match our environmental values. We pay our suppliers the going rate in France.

During the tour your guide will tell you about the local culture and and stories of the evolution of the landscapes and forgotten villages and general life in the Alps to help you gain an insight into this fragile community which in turn helps engender respect and appreciation for it.

We believe that the better you know and understand places and people the more you respect them. The accumulated knowledge over time helps to nurture conservation values.

We offer this trip from May to October to encourage a tourism season outside the busy winter and summer vacations to help develop the local economy towards a more sustainable all year round activity.
