Some signs only in Greek, needed AI Translate to find some routes. Get some 'uphill' training in!

Yes, all three
4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
Fantastic, really well organised and great communication from the operator!
Responsible Travel
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) vacation so that you can travel knowing we've worked to maximise the benefits of your vacation to local people and places, and minimise any negative impacts.
Planet
During this hiking trip, we strive for leaving no footprint behind us...that means that we collect all our trash and take it with us to the nearest village/trash, recycling as much as possible.Besides that, while hiking, it is common for our team to carry a bag and collect any trash found on our path.
Upon arrival in the Zagori area on day 1, we visit Vikos-Aoos National Park's information center and inform our travelers about the history of the park and the significance of preserving the natural environment and the flora and fauna around us.
We try to use as little plastic as possible, we encourage our travelers to fill up their water camel bags with fresh water from the natural springs, instead of offering plastic water bottles every day.
When hiking, we intend to respect nature in the best possible way without disturbing the wildlife around us. On the opposite, we try to inform our guests about the different species of animals and plants located in the park so that we can better protect them.
People
During this trips, all the hotels that we stay at in mainland Greece are family run, thus the income goes directly to the local communities. We also choose or recommend locally owned, family run restaurants and souvenir shops from where travelers can purchase goods / eat.
We also support local craft makers and artisans, and promoting cultural attractions. In Monodendri village, for example, we visit the Rizarios School of Handicrafts where local women learn how to make handmade textiles and we encourage travelers to buy handmade products made by them.
Besides accommodation and restaurants, we hire local people and give them fair wages with longterm cooperation, so that the locals can have direct benefits from our activity.
Moreover, one of the reasons we visit the Zagori villages, besides their absolute pristine beauty, is in order to spread more equally the economic and social benefits of tourism to least developed destinations (in terms of tourism) in Greece and decongest the overdeveloped tourism destinations.
