CARBON REDUCTIONThis eight-day trek through Torres del Paine National Park is designed to minimize carbon emissions through extensive use of human-powered transport. Each day involves significant hiking, reducing reliance on motorized transportation. The initial and final transfers to and from the park utilize shared bus services, further minimizing individual carbon footprints. The adventure begins with a bus ride from Puerto Natales to the park, and concludes with a bus trip back, consolidating transportation needs efficiently.
Accommodations during the trek include eco-friendly options such as campsites and refuges which utilize renewable energy methods. Many sites incorporate solar and wind energy solutions to meet their energy needs. Furthermore, participants are encouraged to consume locally sourced, and seasonal food provided during the trek, supporting regional agriculture and minimizing food transportation emissions. Participants are encouraged to follow eco-friendly guidelines such as minimizing waste, using reusable water bottles, and adopting sustainable travel practices throughout their journey.
ENVIRONMENT AND WILDLIFE
Our campsites and lodges within Torres del Paine National Park follow stringent environmental policies, such as waste management, recycling, and energy-saving measures, to ensure minimal impact on the natural surroundings. The tour adheres to "Leave No Trace" principles, promoting the preservation of the park's pristine ecosystems.
All food services are aligned with sustainability practices. Organic waste is separated and used for composting, while other products are sent to local pig farms for animal feed.
The tour contributes to local conservation efforts through entrance fees to Torres del Paine National Park, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. These fees support ongoing efforts to protect and restore the park's unique biodiversity and ecosystems, including the preservation of habitats for native species such as the guanaco, Andean condor, and the endangered Chilean huemul.
As part of the educational initiatives, we provide maps and guidance on best practices for reducing environmental impact, and teach visitors how they can contribute to sustainability efforts, this ensures that visitors are aware of their impact on the environment and the importance of local biodiversity.

LOCAL ECONOMYOur trekking tour in Torres del Paine actively supports the local economy by exclusively utilizing locally owned accommodations, such as campsites and mountain refuges, managed by regional businesses. This ensures that the financial benefits of tourism remain within the local community, aiding in economic development and sustainability. Additionally, we encourage interactions with local artisans and producers, allowing guests to purchase handcrafted goods and regional specialties, thereby supporting local craft markets and cooperatives around Puerto Natales.
Visitors are encouraged to support local artisans and small businesses in Puerto Natales and within the park, purchasing handicrafts and regional products. This direct economic contribution helps sustain the local community, fostering economic growth and sustainability within the region.
EMPLOYMENT, INCLUSIVITY AND DIVERSITY
Our team, including our guides, is predominantly composed of native Chileans, many of whom are from the Torres del Paine and Puerto Natales areas. This approach not only creates local employment but also helps preserve cultural integrity and heritage.
We actively provide employment opportunities for marginalized groups, including indigenous people and women, in roles such as guides, cooks, and support staff. By doing so, we empower these individuals with stable job opportunities and fair wages.
We are dedicated to fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone, including our customers, employees, destination communities, and local partners. We maintain a strict zero-tolerance policy against any form of discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, or gender.
