This is a sustainably designed slow itinerary to allow our guests to explore Argentina and Antarctica’s most extraordinary landscapes while supporting the people and places that make the region so special. To ensure this, we partner with a boutique team on the ground that champions responsible tourism and shares our values.

Visits to protected areas such as Tierra del Fuego National Park, The Antarctic Peninsula and South Georgia include park entry fees and permits, which directly fund conservation of landscapes and wildlife. We focus on low-impact activities such as walking tours and hikes, small-group excursions to minimise carbon emissions, reduce the number of vehicles and ease visitor pressure on sensitive sites.

Through experiences, our guides educate guests about the fragile ecosystems they visit like the Tierra del Fuego National Park, Falklands, South Georgia and Antarctic Peninsula raising environmental awareness and sharing responsible visitor tips, so that guests understand local challenges and how to minimise negative impact.

-Palo Santo Hotel is Argentina’s first urban green hotel in Argentina. Adorned with more than 800 thriving plants, not only does it look aesthetically pleasing but it also provides the building with natural insulation and absorbs CO2 emissions. All the hotel operations follow environmentally friendly practices.

- Arakur Hotel in Ushuaia, is built within the Cerro Alarken Nature reserve and helps to preserve the habitat and diversity. It uses sustainable design, energy-saving technologies, water saving and materials reuse. It focusses on offering guest experiences that connect them with nature and help appreciate conservation. The hotel holds a Biosphere Certified Badge and has been recognised by Argentina’s Ministry of Tourism under environmental management programs.

We chose Seaventure for your Antarctic cruise because it offers an excellent guest experience with responsible practices. Its’ operators are pioneers of citizen science in the region and work with research facilities such as NASA and the Scripps Institute. Guests are encouraged to get involved, from collecting seawater samples to tracking whales. It has reduced single-use plastic by 50% over several years and the ship is equipped with a modern technology fuel optimisation system from Lean Marine, and all itineraries are created with fuel consumption in mind.

People

People are at the heart of everything we do. All our operations are locally based, from suppliers to transfers and guides. This ensures meaningful employment for residents and authentic storytelling rooted in Argentine culture. Both Buenos Aires and Ushuaia are explored primarily on foot, encouraging genuine engagement with local life, artisans, and traditions.

Where possible, excursions are carefully curated to showcase the best of each destination, allowing guests to travel deeper while supporting local communities. For example, the Gala Tango Show celebrates Argentina’s cultural roots by blending tango and folklore, helping to preserve and promote the nation’s artistic heritage. In Ushuaia, a visit to Cabo San Pablo and Estancia Rolito reveals the hidden stories of Tierra del Fuego and offers insight into traditional rural life.

We partner with small, boutique, and family-owned hotels such as Palo Santo Hotel and Estancia La Bandada to ensure tourism revenue directly benefits the local economy. These properties prioritise employing local staff, collaborating with nearby suppliers, and sourcing ingredients from regional producers to support agriculture and reduce food miles.

Suppliers are chosen for their shared ethical and sustainability values, and the hotel partners with El Ceibo, a cooperative of former cartoneros that recycles waste and provides dignified employment for people in vulnerable situations or with disabilities.

In Ushuaia, Arakur Resort sources much of its food locally and runs awareness campaigns on energy efficiency, helping to educate both guests and the community on making smarter environmental choices.

Estancia La Bandada, a working ranch, provides employment for local residents and supports nearby farmers by sourcing food from its own garden or the surrounding area. Through gaucho demonstrations, horseback riding, field activities, and cooking classes, guests experience authentic rural Argentine life while helping preserve and share its cultural traditions.
