Where dinners are included, meals are typically prepared using locally sourced and seasonal ingredients, helping to minimize food transport and support local producers.

ENVIRONMENT AND WILDLIFE
This tour is built around a deep respect for Norway’s natural environment and rural way of life. Two of the overnights are at working farms, offering an authentic and low-impact stay. These farms use shared bathrooms to minimize resource use and energy consumption.
Before and during the trip, guests receive information on how to reduce their impact on nature, guided by the principles of The Norwegian Nature Diversity Act. We encourage everyone to follow these simple but important rules:
- Do not damage nature – stay on marked trails and leave no trace.
- Take all litter with you – never leave rubbish outdoors.
- Respect protected areas – some zones may have restricted access to safeguard wildlife and vegetation.
- Show respect for people and animals – keep a considerate distance from grazing livestock and wildlife and be mindful when passing farms or villages.

Our activity contributes to local employment through partnerships with small, locally owned accommodations, restaurants, and bike rental providers. Two of the accommodations on this route are family-run farms, offering authentic stays that help sustain rural communities.
We use local suppliers for luggage transport and bike logistics, ensuring that the value created by tourism remains within the region. Guests are encouraged to dine at local restaurants, visit nearby galleries and museums, and shop in small village grocery stores, helping to keep these communities vibrant and active all year round.
Through these choices, the tour creates real, long-term benefits for local people while offering visitors an authentic cultural experience of Norway’s countryside.
