CARBON REDUCTION
This cycling vacation from Røros to Trondheim is designed with sustainability at its core. Traveling by bike allows guests to experience Norway’s landscapes at a slow, environmentally friendly pace - a truly carbon-free way to explore.
We actively encourage guests to travel by train to and from the start and end points of the trip. A scenic rail journey from Trondheim to Røros is included in the program, reducing the need for private transfers or flights. All accommodations along the route are powered by renewable hydro energy, one of Norway’s most abundant and clean energy sources. Where dinners are included, meals are typically prepared using locally sourced and seasonal ingredients, helping to minimize food transport and support local producers.
By combining low-impact travel, renewable energy, and local food, this tour offers an inspiring way to experience Central Norway while keeping your carbon footprint to a minimum.

ENVIRONMENT AND WILDLIFE
This tour is built around a deep respect for Norway’s natural environment and rural way of life. Two of the overnights are at working farms, offering an authentic and low-impact stay. These farms use shared bathrooms to minimize resource use and energy consumption.
Before and during the trip, guests receive information on how to reduce their impact on nature, guided by the principles of The Norwegian Nature Diversity Act. We encourage everyone to follow these simple but important rules:
- Do not damage nature – stay on marked trails and leave no trace.
- Take all litter with you – never leave rubbish outdoors.
- Respect protected areas – some zones may have restricted access to safeguard wildlife and vegetation.
- Show respect for people and animals – keep a considerate distance from grazing livestock and wildlife and be mindful when passing farms or villages.
By staying in locally run accommodations and following these principles, guests help protect the fragile ecosystems of mountain and forest landscapes, ensuring they remain clean, wild, and welcoming for future generations.

LOCAL ECONOMY
This cycling vacation directly supports the local economy in Central Norway. Our activity contributes to local employment through partnerships with small, locally owned accommodations, restaurants, and bike rental providers. Two of the accommodations on this route are family-run farms, offering authentic stays that help sustain rural communities.
We use local suppliers for luggage transport and bike logistics, ensuring that the value created by tourism remains within the region. Guests are encouraged to dine at local restaurants, visit nearby galleries and museums, and shop in small village grocery stores, helping to keep these communities vibrant and active all year round.
Through these choices, the tour creates real, long-term benefits for local people while offering visitors an authentic cultural experience of Norway’s countryside.

EMPLOYMENT, INCLUSIVITY AND DIVERSITY
Our company is a small, privately owned travel business based in Lillehammer, Norway. We operate from FABRIKKEN, a creative office community that houses around 30 small businesses within the art, culture, and adventure industries. This cooperative environment promotes collaboration, innovation, and mutual support, while keeping costs low and sustainability high.
We are committed to responsible operations - our offices are close to public transport, and everyone in the community focuses on energy efficiency, recycling, and low-impact practices.
We believe in equal opportunities and inclusivity. This cycling tour is LGBTQ+ friendly and open to everyone, regardless of background, gender, or experience level. The trip is self-guided, allowing guests to travel individually or as a group - at their own pace and comfort.
