CARBON REDUCTIONOur accommodations on the boat embody our commitment to sustainable practices. While renewable energy is an ongoing initiative, we've implemented several eco-conscious measures:
- The boat features 4 shared cabins, and each bathroom utilizes filtered saltwater directly from the sea for showers, sinks, and toilets.
- Harnessing wind energy, our sail propels the boat on wind-friendly days, reducing reliance on the engine and minimizing our carbon footprint.
- Solar panels on deck generate electricity for all onboard needs, further aligning with our commitment to renewable energy.
Each day, we ensure a delightful selection of vegan and vegetarian options for breakfast and lunch. Our carefully planned meals showcase local fruits, vegetables, and delicious dishes prepared with regional Sicilian ingredients. We prioritize sourcing produce from local growers and suppliers throughout Sicily and the Aeolian Islands whenever possible, emphasizing freshness while supporting the local economy.
We are passionate about seasonal ingredients, aligning our menus with the natural harvests of each period to provide an authentic taste of the region. We actively verify the origin and sustainability of products sourced outside local markets to ensure they meet our standards.
We avoid palm oil, soy, and unsustainable forestry products in our food supply chain. Our commitment to sustainability extends to every ingredient we source. We also encourage mindful consumption and reducing food waste, particularly while living closely with nature on board.
We should be thankful that we don't have to go hungry or worry about getting food. We would like to draw attention to this gift through our concept. By purchasing from local Sicilian producers, we support local farmers and small businesses. Our cultural experiences highlight the origin, preparation, and appreciation of quality food, while encouraging responsible consumption and reducing unnecessary waste.
The oceans are overfished, and many species are threatened due to unsustainable fishing practices. The meat industry remains one of the largest contributors to climate change. To become more aware of our impact, we encourage conscious consumption. This does not mean there is no fish or meat, but rather that it should be enjoyed thoughtfully and in moderation. The same applies to drinks; while Sicilian wine is an important part of local culture, our focus on board remains on wellness, balance, and connecting with nature.
Food that remains from a sailing week will either stay on the boat for the following week or be donated whenever possible through local initiatives and partners in the marina. We mainly prepare vegan and vegetarian meals to reduce our environmental impact.
ENVIRONMENT AND WILDLIFE
Our boat follows a strict recycling policy for all waste generated on board. Dedicated containers are available for different types of waste, and we emphasize responsible disposal during both booking and our welcome briefing. We are committed to leaving no waste behind in any bay, harbor, or marina we visit throughout the week.
We only anchor in designated anchoring areas to help protect marine ecosystems and sensitive underwater habitats. The Aeolian Islands are renowned for their volcanic landscapes, crystal-clear waters, and rich marine biodiversity. We strictly follow local regulations designed to preserve these unique environments for future generations.
In areas rich in wildlife, such as marine habitats, protected bays, and coastal zones, we minimize engine usage whenever possible to reduce our impact and preserve the natural beauty of the region.
The soap and shampoo provided on board are biodegradable, and we encourage the use of environmentally friendly personal care products throughout the trip.
Black and grey water tanks are only emptied in accordance with local regulations and never near protected areas, swimming zones, or harbors. We also keep all tanks closed while in marinas, as required. Water is a valuable resource on board, and we encourage mindful consumption throughout the journey.
Sailing relies on the natural elements of wind and water, allowing us to travel with minimal environmental impact while fostering a deeper connection with the sea and the natural world around us.

LOCAL ECONOMYWe do our best to include as many cultural experiences in our program as possible throughout Sicily and the Aeolian Islands. We carefully select family-run restaurants, local wineries, and small businesses in the villages and marinas we visit. Many of our local partners have been part of these island communities for generations, preserving the traditions, hospitality, and culinary heritage that make this region so unique.
We believe that food is one of the best ways to connect with a destination. By sourcing ingredients from local Sicilian producers and supporting independent businesses, we contribute directly to the local economy. Our cultural experiences highlight the origins of local products, traditional cooking methods, and the values of Mediterranean living, encouraging a deeper appreciation for the food we enjoy and the people who produce it.
EMPLOYMENT, INCLUSIVITY AND DIVERSITY
Our operational team is made up of people from 10 different nationalities, helping us foster a diverse and inclusive working environment. We also take pride in our partnerships with local individuals and businesses throughout Sicily and the Aeolian Islands, actively engaging with the local community. We cultivate meaningful collaborations with 11 local partners, including family-run restaurants, local wineries, tourism operators, and marine businesses, helping support the local economy and community.
Our trip is LGBTQ+ friendly, creating a welcoming space for individuals of all sexual orientations and gender identities. Committed to fostering inclusivity, we strive to offer a supportive environment where everyone can feel at ease and fully enjoy the transformative experience of our wellness sailing adventure.
