On this trip you are joined by a leader throughout and local guides along the way who are always eager to share information about their country and culture, and help you break down barriers in your interactions with local people.

The ruins of Angkor are protected under UNESCO World Heritage listing and as such, part of the money received from entrance tickets contributes to the amazing site’s conservation. Your local guide will also give you plenty of guidance on what is appropriate when visiting the ruins and you will have the chance to interact with many of the local kids.
Each traveler on this trip will receive a gift of a Responsible Traveler cloth bag made by the Nguyen Nga Training Centre, in Central Vietnam, helping those with special needs and disabilities. This bag is designed to combat the increasingly prevalent problem of plastic bag pollution disrupting the various marine and land habitats of Vietnam.

People

On this trip we stop by the Sala Bai Hotel School for an included lunch, where underprivileged local youths learn skills that enable them to find gainful employment in the hospitality industry. In Vietnam you will also visit the KOTO Restaurant in Hanoi, which is part of the KOTO Training Centre providing training in hospitality to former street children. The restaurant is staffed by those the project has worked with, and the food is great too!
As company our responsibilities don’t stop when our tours end. Our own in house foundation has been in operation for over 10 years; a not-for-profit fund that has distributed over AU$5 million to more than 70 non-government organisations since 2002, from health care, education, human rights, child welfare, sustainable development and in environmental and wildlife protection. Donations come from our travelers and are then matched by us dollar for dollar. One of these projects is the Angkor Centre for Conservation of Biodiversity (ACCB), a organisation that rehabilitates animals that have fallen victim to wildlife trafficking and provides a breeding facility for highly endangered animal species. On this trip you will get the opportunity to stop at this project and learn more about the wonderful work that is happening at this center.
