There were so many highlights to this vacation which covered so many countries... Staying the night in a hilltribe village in northern Thailand, snorkling on the coral reefs around Ko Phi Phi, 4x4 driving, drinking tea in a tea plantation in the Cameron highlands...exploring great cities like KL and Singapore. Fantastic, but tough going at times!

A 2-day trip down the Mekong River and Luang Prabeng! I really enjoyed Laos. Hanoi and Saigon are incredibly bustling cities but have their charms.
Tips?
Group dynamics change as some people leave after 2 weeks and others join. Sometimes it is difficult to make the adjustment but after a few days the new travelers become part of the original group.

I definitely think it benefited local people.

This is a difficult one, as everyday was different and full of interest. Five of us went on this vacation and the best part for me was the morning view from our homestay balcony in Vietnam. Oh, and the cruise on Halong Bay, eating street food in Hanoi & having a delicious lunch prepared for us in a local home in Battambang.
Tips?
Be prepared to get down with the locals and feel you really get an insight into their lives.
