Memorable parts? We really enjoyed traveling to both the North and South part of the country as it was great to experience very different lifestyles and cultures. Our favourite part of the trip was meeting the locals and getting to try all of the amazing foods that India has to offer, along with learnings the history behind each of the architectural masterpieces and cities we visited. Memorable parts? History and culture. I enjoyed the amazing hotels we stayed in that were beautiful locations and historical. Tips? Due to distance between locations, ensure there are two nights at every hotel. There is significant time spent driving (in a car) between each location. If flying from Delhi during December / January be aware of fog delaying / cancelling flights. Local benefits? We visited local communities (e.g. Bishnoi, Samode) but not sure how it benefitted... Visits to the Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daula (Baby Taj) in Agra and Jantar Mantar (astronomical observatory) in Jaipur were the most memorable. It was absolutely fantastic - well organized, good choice of hotels (especially the Maidens in Delhi and the Mandawa Haveli in Agra), informative guides, a very skilled and safe driver, and visits to absolutely wonderful sites. Memorable parts? Amazing sights and some wonderful hotels. Our driver and guides were really friendly and helpful. Driver did an amazing job - traffic, parking and roads have to be seen to be believed. Tips? Think carefully about your itinerary. We ended up having 4 very full on/busy days in the first week and a few too many rest days in the second, with a final day just hanging around in a very expensive hotel near the airport in Delhi just waiting to fly home.
