This wildlife volunteering project operates in a unique setting. It is the only residential Big 5 game reserve worldwide, located within the boundaries of a metro city and just 45 minutes from the Pretoria city center. We contribute at best toward culture, community and conservation; for this reason, we support this holistic approach of this private game reserve. The country is breathtaking, but the wealth gap between rich and poor is vast and it shows. You don't have to drive out too far from the cosmopolitan city to be met by poverty and hardship.
