CARBON REDUCTION
During the whole trip, our guests will be moving from one place to the other by walking and any transfers during the tour will be shared. As for their arrival, we will advise them to opt for direct flights to Kalamata airport, which is a very short drive to the city of Kalamata. Encouraged by our company, they will use their own reusable water bottles, avoiding buying plastic water bottles, as it is important to have their own supplies during the hike. Lastly, the breakfast served, includes a variety of local and traditional products like lalagia, Maniot fried dough strips – and upon request there can be offered options for vegeterian or vegan breakfast.

ENVIRONMENT AND WILDLIFE
Enjoying nature and making sure that there will not be any disturbance to the scenery and the wildlife of the area is one of our main priorities. All the information that our guests will receive about this tour will be in digital format, protecting the trees. In addition, our company advises the hikers not to leave any signs of their passing behind. In other words, any trash should be carried with them and discarded in the appropriate bins.

LOCAL ECONOMY
The guests choosing to do this tour, will get the chance to explore smaller regions of Greece and specifically traditional villages. Bringing them back to life and supporting the small communities there is really important for our company. For the above reasons, the accommodation that we use, but also the restaurants that we recommend are being run by small families. Furthermore, the transfers between the regions will be operated by local drivers, who know a lot about the area, and they can also recommend great things to do or where to eat to the guests.

EMPLOYMENT, INCLUSIVITY AND DIVERSITY
All our employees and operating partners are from Greece and half of our staff are women working in all the posts. (drivers and office employees). This trip is LGBTQ+ friendly, as one of the core values of our company is that we respect every person regardless of their race, gender, sexual orientation or nationality.
