Our self catering apartments conform with traditional rules of housing & construction on Brac Island, that wants to maintain its charm and antiquity. To build these apartments members of the local community are employed and all building processes and materials are as environmentally friendly as possible. The buildings are all as environmentally friendly as possible and all built in a sympathetic styling to the local surroundings.
All apartments encourage waste management for sort and re-cycle. For all of the activities included in the program the guides take every measure to minimize the impact on the local environment. An example of this is during mountain biking tours our guides will always discuss the impact of our tour on the environment, and our guides will lead by example in collecting litter left by less well informed guests within our daily led groups. When visiting villages we always endeavour to arrive by foot, bike or kayak and encourage interaction between our guests and the local community to allow each to develop a deeper cultural understanding.

People

Our local partners are fully integrated into the local community. All our guides and staff are from the Dalmatia area or are from Brac island.

To promote eco responsible tourism we try to keep to small sized groups, as we dont want to encourage over commercialism and overcrowding of these sensitive areas.

With small groups participating in carefully chosen locations, or biking & walking on established marked out trails, we can introduce & educate our clients to this spectacular area without compromising the environment and the finely balanced eco system of Brac island.

We always ensure that we work with local suppliers and accommodation wherever possible. This means that our clients get to meet the local people and gain fantastic authentic experiences from them. Our active vacations are focused on contributing to the local economy and too minimize the environmental impact.

When car or van transportation is used we use local drivers, often in owner private operated vehicles, which brings work to people who may otherwise be under or unemployed in the community.
