Planet
Carbon ReductionAs this is a trekking tour, much of the transport is human powered, reducing our carbon footprint by not requiring other modes of transport.
As this tour takes place in the Italian mountains, we very much stick to the local cuisine, which is often locally sourced and season. We can also provide vegan and vegetarian meals throughout, please just let us know at time of booking.
Environment & Wildlife
Through our Foundation, we support the Italian organisation, Cooperativa Coraggio. Cooperativa Coraggio addresses the various social and environmental needs of communities around Rome by regenerating these unused public lands with organic, sustainable agriculture.
Our groups are always briefed at the welcome meeting on how to reduce their environmental impact and leave the location we visit without leaving any negative impact. This includes the appropriate waste disposal and the provision of reusable tote bags.

Local EconomyThis trip supports the local economy in many ways, including using local leaders and guides, visiting locally run meals and food experiences such as Grappa tasting and local cheese tasting in Croda da Lago refuge and Cortina.
We use a locally, family run hotel in Cortina for the entire duration of this trip.
Employment, Inclusivity & Diversity
By transforming overgrown and abandoned public spaces into thriving agricultural gardens, Cooperativa Coraggio has not only built a source of organic food and green space but also created local job opportunities. More than 40 jobs have been created for the local community since this project began.
Since 2018 we have been certified as a B Corp. Certified B Corporations are leaders in the global movement for an inclusive, equitable, and regenerative economy. Unlike other certifications for businesses, B Lab is unique in their ability to measure a company’s entire social and environmental impact. And we have only got better since then, with a B Corp Score of 102, putting us in the top tier of B Corp certified enterprises.
