CARBON REDUCTION

We actively address the challenges of desertification and water pollution in Morocco. We provide information and suggestions to our clients on reducing water consumption and plastic waste during their visit, raising awareness about these critical issues;

We collaborate with local families to promote sustainable practices. For instance, we encourage the use of reusable pottery bottles for drinking water, reducing the reliance on single-use plastic.

We support local and organic food systems. In the big cities, we aim to source organic food when possible. Most of our tours involve visits to rural areas, where food systems are inherently local and organic. Many of the families we partner with grow their own food such as wheat and olives and keep some small livestock like chickens, sheep, or even cows. In many cases, the bread, oil, vegetables, and more that you will eat were not only made by their hands but came from their fields.

ENVIRONMENT AND WILDLIFE

Our tours include visits to environmental and ecological projects that combat climate change and address human impacts. These experiences provide opportunities for clients to learn about and engage with these initiatives; especially by supporting the preservation of the Amazigh culture and heritage in the Anti-Atlas mountains.

We encourage responsible and respectful interaction with the environment during our tours. We emphasize the significance of minimizing our impact on fragile ecosystems and wildlife habitats.

We have transitioned to a paperless and fully digital operation, conducting all our communications and itinerary management online to reduce paper usage;

We know that travel can have a detrimental effect on the environment. At the same time, we believe in the power of the tourism industry to open our eyes to the beautiful landscapes that need protecting and to motivate us in our efforts to do so.

People

LOCAL ECONOMY

To maximize local economic opportunities, we employ local guides who possess in-depth knowledge of the region. We also encourage visits to craft or cooperative markets and organize village visits, enabling travelers to directly support local artisans and communities.

Our business was founded on the principle that culturally and environmentally responsible travel can be a powerful force for change. Tourism should contribute to conservation and benefit local communities. The main idea beyond creating this social business is to help vulnerable families and to contribute in creating a sustainable development in some vulnerable areas that need more attention and care. For that, 15% of the yearly revenue will go directly to two associations

- « Association Anajah pour le Développement et les Travaux Sociaux » works to reduce the dropout of school of girls in a small village called Rbat Lahjar in Zagora City, And simultaneously works to provide water for the population in a desert area that has a bad water shortage situation. « Chabab Time » works all over Morocco to increase the participation of youth in managing the local issues. It works to help the young people’s voice heard. These two associations may either help directly the vulnerable families in their areas of work by organizing summer camps for their children and helping them create their own local social enterprises.
