The second Loch Lomond hike was most memorable to us. The lake scenery was very beautiful, and it was the most challenging hike during our whole trip... We were very pleased with the trip and would give high marks. Read full reviewReviewed on 14 May 2025 by Robin Warren

As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) vacation so that you can travel knowing we've worked to maximise the benefits of your vacation to local people and places, and minimise any negative impacts.
Planet
As a responsible tour operator, we pride ourselves on only working with local, independent partners who share in our passion to positively impact our local communities and environment. This long-distance walking trail crosses through varied terrain and some areas that have populations of wild roe and red deer. We encourage you to ‘leave no trace’ as you complete the trail and provide tips on how to get the most out of your experience whilst respecting the natural environment to its fullest.
Through offering this trip as a self-guided experience, rather than a group trip means that the number of walkers we send on the trail at one time is reduced causing less impact to the environment. As the trail is one of the more popular in Scotland it is important to us to encourage travel outside of the busiest season.
We also supply you with a reusable water bottle to take with you to help curb single-use plastic pollution.
People
Along The West Highland Way trail there are many accommodation options. We have selected smaller locally owned guesthouses and B&Bs to give you a true Scottish experience. This not only supports the local economy and local businesses but also gives you an authentic insight and a chance to get to know the communities you are visiting in this wonderful part of the Scottish Highlands.Self-guided trips like this have a lower impact than large groups visiting a destination, ensuring a more positive and sustainable impact on the local community.
We always encourage guests to support local businesses by visiting the local pubs and using village shops for any supplies needed. These rural businesses rely on regular trade to keep them open, so please do support them by buying local whenever you can.
