This journey is designed as a low-impact, small-scale experience in one of Croatia’s most remote mountain regions.

You stay in simple mountain huts with limited infrastructure, many of which rely partly on solar energy and operate with minimal resource use (no air conditioning, low electricity consumption, wood heating in colder periods).

Hiking itself is a low-impact activity, and the route avoids mass tourism areas.

Some transport is necessary to access remote sections of Velebit. While we aim to minimise our footprint, full transition to electric transport is currently limited by infrastructure in this region.

ENVIRONMENT & LOCAL CONTEXT

- You are expected to carry out your own waste and dispose of it responsibly.
- National park fees directly support the protection of these areas.
- The trip supports local communities and small-scale providers.

Where possible, food is locally sourced and prepared using seasonal ingredients.
