CARBON REDUCTION

Reduction in Avoidable Internal Flights: We aim to minimize domestic flights. Key routes like Jeddah to Medina and Medina to Riyadh are covered via the Haramain High-Speed Railway and modern bus networks, reducing carbon emissions and promoting rail travel over air routes. Where flights are used, it is because there are no feasible alternatives.

Shared and Local Transportation: Tours use shared air-conditioned minibuses and private vehicles for small groups to reduce per-person carbon impact. Where possible, eco-certified operators are selected.

Human-Powered Activities: Many packages include walking tours in heritage areas like AlUla, Diriyah, Old Jeddah (Al Balad) and Edge of the World hikes, promoting low-impact tourism for at least 2-3 days per itinerary.

Vegetarian & Vegan Options: All tours include access to vegetarian/vegan-friendly meals daily, with lower emissions – either in local restaurants or hotel buffets. Travelers are informed in advance to request dietary preferences, and guides assist in ensuring availability.

Locally Sourced & Seasonal Food: The tour partners with restaurants and hotels that focus on local Saudi produce, such as dates, lamb, grains, spices, and seasonal fruits. Farm-to-table culinary experiences are promoted, especially in AlUla and Taif, with local food being lower in airmiles.

ENVIRONMENT AND WILDLIFE

Carbon Awareness for Travelers: We provide a “Travel Sustainably” pre-arrival guide with carbon-reducing and environmentally friendly suggestions: reuse water bottles, opt for vegetarian meals, and use train travel where available. It also promotes choosing direct flights and limiting excess baggage.

LOCAL ECONOMY

Locally Owned Accommodations: A high proportion of hotels we use include locally owned boutique hotels, desert camps, and guest houses, especially in AlUla, Hail, and Tabuk. These promote direct reinvestment into the local economy.

Local Economic Empowerment: Tours prioritize using Saudi local guides, handicraft workshops, market visits, and culinary classes with local chefs. Visits to traditional Bedouin weaving collectives, date farms, and women-led artisanal cooperatives in Jeddah and Abha are included.

EMPLOYMENT, INCLUSIVITY AND DIVERSITY

Local Employment Priority: We partner with operators that employ 90%+ local staff, including guides, drivers, hospitality teams, and logistics. In AlUla and Medina, more than 75% of team members are from local communities.

Inclusive Hiring: Women, indigenous groups (such as the Bedouin), and people with disabilities are prioritized in hiring for supporting roles like guiding, culinary experiences, and art/craft demonstrations.

Fair Wages and Local Standards: All workers are paid at or above the Saudi minimum wage, and accommodation partners are required to uphold fair labor practices.
