Tips?
Hotel information was not as good as it could have been. Many of the hotels did not do food and that could have created a problem over xmas & new year. Also some did not take credit cards.

So many! The most spectacular was the Perito Moreno Glacier which was jaw dropping! The journey as you cross the Andes mostly by boat is amazing with crystal clear lakes, high mountains and volcano`s and the Condor circling high above you.
Tips?
Expect to be staggered by the scenery and expect some long distances between places especially to Torres del Paine National Park which took hours to drive to plus long hold ups between Argentina and Chile but it was so worth... (more)Peter Carter

So many highlights: tango in Buenos Aires, the unforgettable Iguazu Falls; but for me Patagonia and particularly the Perito Merino glacier was the outstanding memory of the trip. Nature in raw, exquisite and awe-inspiring beauty: simply

You do need to pack for different weather conditions but even so do try to pack lightly so you still have space for all the things you will want to buy whilst you are there.

The diversity of the landscapes and climates and awe inspiring scenery. It was nice to have a local guide in each area.
Tips?
We extended the trip to have 3 nights in each location (so 17 days in total). This was a great pace as with all the traveling I think it would be exhausting and overwhelming if we had stuck to the original schedule. We did not do a 12 day highlights vacation. Instead we contacted the vacation provider direct and with them planned a 19 day trip. See below for views on this process.
As far as memorable experiences, the list is endless. Perito Moreno glacier was amazing to see and hear - it really is blue in parts, and it was well worth paying extra to do the mini-trek.
