Gorillas!!!!! Interacting with them was the most exceptional experience of my life and the biggest adrenaline rush I have ever had. It is without comparison. The Masai Mara was amazing, wild camping was a buzz and white water rafting on
the Nile was an amazing experience but being close to the African people(especially the happy kids) and not isolated in 5 star resorts made the trip a once in a lifetime experience. (more)Mark Asquith

Don't spend too much on trekking gear, I didn't need 90% of the things I bought. A good pair of boots will be enough

Yes, we visited a village and did the tour and could see first hand how the
money we had spent on the trip was trickling down to the villagers and enhancing their lives.

Memorable parts?
Gorilla Tracking was just outstanding. Many other highlights of the tour (camping in the Serengeti, visit of local villages, rafting the Nile) were also great.
Tips?
Prepare for long truck, bus and jeep rides, bring maybe a sleeping pillow or similar. Mattress is not necessary and a sleeping bag just for two nights, so don't
bother to waste too much space for this. Hiking boots for the gorillas are a must. Don't miss out on the Pygmy village!

Memorable parts?
Discounting being within an arms length of a family of Gorilla's, Seeing how beautiful Rwanda is as a country and how friendly the people are, considering their recent history was amazing. I would recommend it to anyone.
Tips?
We had 3 days in Volcanoes national park, which was a little too long once you'd seen the gorillas and other sights. We only had 1 day round Lake Kivu so would have liked another day there.
