But there were so many other memorable moments such as the meals out in the desert, floating in the Dead Sea, visiting Mount Nebo. Petra itself is vast and two days is just enough time to get a sense of the place and see the main sights.

The most memorable moments were a night in Wadi Rum hosted by Bedouins, including a camel ride in the desert to see the sunset, an early morning sunrise experience and lovely local food. Equally wonderful was the trek on the back trails to the high sacred place. (more)David Downing

Memorable parts?
Our first view of the Treasury in Petra. We made the evening visit and sat in the candlelit entrance for the local songs before the lights were switched on to illuminate it. Stunning!
Tips?
Just do it! Jordan is a wonderful country with so much to see and do. Although we were with a guide most of the time we were always made to feel welcome wherever we went.
